ABOUT

JACKIE NOAKES

Born in Nottingham, England, Jackie settled with her parents in Africa at the age of fifteen. She spent her teenage years in Zambia where she began to sculpt with clay she dug from the river beds. During those early days, Jackie was often on horseback exploring the surrounding areas, developing a love for the African Bushveld. Later as a newly-wed couple, she and her husband lived adjacent to the Kafue National Park where a great deal of her time was spent studying the animals which roamed in this wilderness.

After that time, with three small children, they lived on the banks of the Kafue River where their closest neighbours were families of Hippopotamus.

Today South Africa is home for Jackie and her family. Her finely executed sculpture has been successfully exhibited in galleries throughout the world.
